ela ships within Canada. Please email us at info@elahandbags.com if you have questions regarding international shipments.
All shipping services used by ela provide a tracking number and insurance for the cost of your package.
The table below outlines delivery times based on order subtotal (pre-tax total) and province.
Please note an additional 1-3 business day processing time is required before orders are shipped (this does not include weekends) – the shipping speed on your order reflects how quickly the selected postal service delivers the package to you once the order has been processed.
Should a package be marked as delivered by the courier provider as per the tracking information and cannot be retrieved at the shipping address, ela does not claim responsibility for the loss. Unfortunately, we do not replace nor refund an order after it has been confirmed as delivered to the correct address by the courier. We would recommend contacting the courier to proceed with resolving this matter.

SALES TAX
Orders shipped to:
- Quebec are subject to 5% GST and 9.975% PST on the purchase amount or a total sales tax of 14.975%.
- Ontario, Newfoundland and Labrador, and New Brunswick, are subject to 13% HST.
- Nova Scotia are subject to 15% HST.
- Any other Canadian provinces or territories are only subject to 5% GST.
REFUSED SHIPMENTS & WRONG ADDRESS
ela will not be responsible for any fees charged by customs or other tax authorities. If you refuse any shipments from ela, you remain responsible for all original shipping charges, duties, taxes, customs incurred on the package (original and return shipments) and the cost of returning the package to ela. We will subtract this amount from your merchandise refund, if any. If the item is not received by the customer and sent back to us by the postal service company you will be charged the actual shipping fee (not according to the above table). The price of the item will be credited once we receive the item. We will contact you to inform you when we receive the package.

The days outlined in the following table refer to business days. Please note an additional 1-2 business day processing time is required.

Return Policy

*All items discounted by 30% of more are final sale and are not eligible for returns or exchanges unless they are faulty or damaged upon receipt.
ela wants you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. Please let us know within 14 days of receiving your package if you would like to make a return by contacting customer care at info@elahandbags.com – our team will then provide you with return instructions.
The return package must be postmarked no later than 30 days from the date of original purchase. The bag must be unworn, and all contents of the original delivery, including tags and dust bags, must be fully attached and included to the returned item/s for the return to be accepted.
Refunds may only be issued to the same payment card used for the original purchase, or via ela store credit. Shipping fees are not refundable. The balance will be refunded to your credit card within 5-10 business days from ela receiving the returned item/s.
ela does not provide return shipping labels – you will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. We recommend that you insure your package and use a shipper that allows you to track your package, as we are not responsible for delayed or lost packages.
Please note that we are unable to accept returns for items purchased at other retail locations or other websites.
UNITED STATES RETURNS
All returned items should be declared as a Return of Canadian Merchandise on the customs declaration. Returned packages that don't have this mention on their custom declaration may incur additional fees.
RETURNS - GIFT WITH PURCHASE
In the event a customer returns product/s, their original purchase no longer qualifies for the free gift with purchase. ela reserves the right to deduct the value of the gift from the refund owed to the customer, if the free gift is not included in the return to ela.
Exchange Policy
ela wants you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. Please let us know within 14 days of receiving your package if you would like to make an exchange by contacting customer care at info@elahandbags.com – our team will then provide you with exchange instructions.
The returned package must be postmarked no later than 30 days from the date of original purchase. The returned bag must be unworn, and all contents of the original delivery, including tags and dust bags, must be fully attached and included to the returned item/s for the exchange to be accepted.
Once ela has received your returned item/s, we will then process a complimentary order for your new/exchanged product. If there is a price difference between the items being exchanged:
Returned Item costs less than Exchanged Item: We will require the additional price difference be paid prior to shipping the exchanged product. Our team will send you a direct payment link to settle the price difference.
Returned Item costs more than Exchanged Item: We will refund the additional amount when the new/exchanged product is shipped.
Kindly note ela does not provide return shipping labels – you will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning the item you are hoping to exchange. We recommend that you insure your package and use a shipper that allows you to track your package, as we are not responsible for delayed or lost packages.
